It was a heartwarming moment for Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women and Vodafone Fijiana XVs halfback Setaita Railumu when she heard her younger sister’s name, Adi Salaseini Railumu being announced as part of the final Fijiana XVs squad alongside her for the upcoming test matches against Scotland and Netherlands and also the WXV3 tournament.

This will be the first time ever for the sisters to play alongside each other in the white jersey if they get an opportunity to do so.

Setaita says she was proud of her little sister for her sacrifices during training.

She says she is so happy to be flying the Fijian flag with her sister and it is a dream come true for their parents who have always supported them since they started playing rugby.

Adi Salaseini says she is excited to join her sister and has her sights set on making an impact in her first test match.

She says she has always watched how Setaita played, and whenever her team won, their family was so proud and she wants to bring that same joy to their family by helping the team secure a win.

Meanwhile, the Fijiana XVs will take on Scotland at 3:45am Sunday in Edinburgh.

They will then travel to the Netherlands for their first-ever match against the Orange Ladies next Thursday in Amsterdam.

Fijiana will then take on Hong Kong China, Samoa, and Spain in the WXV3 tournament which kicks off on the 27th of this month.
