The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua has farewelled its Head of Athletic Performance, Nacanieli Cawanibuka after 3 years with the franchise.

Cawanibuka spent his final week with the Fijian Drua last week and was farewelled by the team at their base in Legalega, Nadi on Saturday.

The official announcement of his departure was made during the Fijian Drua Awards Night on Saturday as he was honoured with a token of appreciation from the club for his service.

During his farewell speech, Cawanibuka said he is humbled to have worked alongside some of the legends of the game, and also some future stars of the game.

He acknowledged the opportunity that was given to him by the club and he says it was an honour for him to be a part of some of the histories that the Drua has made ever since they started playing in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific Competition.

Cawanibuka also acknowledged the players who will be leaving the club at the end of this season, and he wished them all the best.

Cawanibuka is expected to take up the role of General Manager of the High Performance Unit at the Fiji Rugby Union.
