The FijiFirst Party continues to lead the official 2022 general elections results tally with 200,063 votes after the completion of the count at 2047 of the 2071 polling stations.

This is 42.60 percent of the votes counted.

The People’s Alliance is in second place with 162,929 votes which is 35.76 percent of the votes.

National Federation Party is in third place with 41,816 votes which is 8.90 percent of the votes counted.

SODELPA has 24,191 votes which is 5.15 percent of the votes counted.

Unity Fiji has 13,035 votes, Fiji Labour Party has 12,655 votes, We Unite Fiji has 6,049 votes, All People’s Party 2,620 votes and New Generation Party has 975 votes.

Independent candidates Rajendra Sharma and Ravinesh Reddy have 198 and 80 votes respectively.

A party can form government if they win 28 seats or more.

If no one reaches the 28 seats on their own, then we expect negotiations between parties to form a coalition government.

Parties that qualify to be in parliament need to receive 5 percent of the total votes in the elections.

Based on the current count and the percentage of votes received - the projected seats for the FijiFirst is 26, People’s Alliance 21, National Federation Party 5 and SODELPA 3. These projections will change as more votes come in from polling stations. Please note this is a projection based on the votes counted so far.
