Final result update as at 5:05pm, Saturday 17th December, 2022

The FijiFirst Party continues to lead the official 2022 general elections results tally with 119,871 votes after the completion of the count at 1374 of the 2071 polling stations.

This is 42.16 percent of the votes counted.

The People’s Alliance is in second place with 101,318 votes which is 35.63 percent of the votes.

National Federation Party is in third place with 24,720 votes which is 8.69 percent of the votes counted. SODELPA has 15,050 votes which is 5.29 percent of the votes counted.

Unity Fiji has 8,425 votes, Fiji Labour Party has 8,028 votes, We Unite Fiji has 4,277 votes, All People’s Party 1,855 votes and New Generation Party has 606 votes.

Independent candidates Rajendra Sharma and Ravinesh Reddy have 130 and 60 votes respectively.

A party can form government if they win 28 seats or more.

If no one reaches the 28 seats on their own, then we expect negotiations between parties to form a coalition government.

Parties that qualify to be in parliament need to receive 5 percent of the total votes in the elections.

Based on the current count and the percentage of votes received - the projected seats for the FijiFirst is 26, People’s Alliance 21, National Federation Party 5 and SODELPA 3.

These projections will change as more votes come in from polling stations. Please note this is a projection based on the votes counted so far.
