Fiji wins Oceania 7s title after beating NZ in the final

The Fiji Airways National 7s team won the Oceania 7s title last night after beating rivals New Zealand 26‑0 in the final at the ANZ Stadium.

Fiji displayed brilliant attacking and defensive game throughout.

Fiji led 14‑0 at half time.

Fiji's first try was scored by Kalione Nasoko who was one of the outstanding performers for the national side throughout the tournament.

Waisea Nacuqu who was another of the outstanding performers for the team scored two tries while Josua Vakurinabuli scored the other try for Fiji.

Captain Jerry Tuwai says this is a good build up for the Sevens Series.

Meanwhile, New Zealand clinched the Womens title after defeating Australia 12‑5 in the final while the Fiji Airways Fijiana beat PNG 39‑0 for the 3rd place playoff.
