Fiji to meet South Africa in Vancouver 7s cup semis after thrashing Argentina

The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team will now face the South Africa 7s Cup team in the Cup semifinals after thrashing Argentina 43-7 in their Cup quarterfinal match this morning.  

The national side led 24-0 at halftime.

Fiji’s tries in the first half was scored by Sevuloni Moceinacagi, Eroni Sau, Kalione Nasoko and Mesulame Kunavula.

Fiji continued their impressive offloading game and teamwork in attack displayed in their final pool match against Kenya yesterday.

In the second half, Fiji was on the scoreboard early once again as Mesulame Kunavula scored a try straight after the kick off to extend the lead.

 

Impressive teamwork gave Fiji two other tries through Alasio Naduva and Amenoni Nasilasila in the second half.

In other results, South Africa defeated Australia 24-19 in the first Cup quarterfinal.

New Zealand is currently playing USA in the third Cup quarterfinal while England will meet Kenya in the final Cup quarterfinal.

Fiji will meet South Africa in the Cup semifinals at 10.08 this morning while the Cup final will be played at 1.19pm today.
