The Fiji Airways Men's National 7s side lost 12-10 to a six-men South African side in the semi final of the HSBC Vancouver 7s this morning.

The match was filled with so much intensity as both teams tried to secure a place in the finals.

Fiji scored the first try through Joji Nasova, but a few minutes later, he received a yellow card for a dangerous tackle.

South Africa was determined to get on the scoreboard in the first half, but they got unlucky after Sebastiaan Jobb was handed a red card for a dangerous hit on Filipe Sauturaga.

South Africa managed to get their rhythm back in the last few minutes of the second half, where Shilton van Wyk crossed over the try line to close the gap.

Fiji got one back through Jeremaia Matana, but South Africa had the final say as Donavan Don crossed the try line in the final minute of the game.

Fiji will now face Spain in the 3rd-place playoff at 12.05pm today.

Meanwhile, South Africa will face Argentina in the cup final at 1.05pm today.
