Fiji is once again open for happiness – Bainimarama

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says after vaccinating almost every adult in the country, Fiji is once again open for happiness.

While addressing the World Expo attendees in Abu Dhabi, Bainimarama says if you ask Fijians where to find happiness, they will tell you that it is found in life’s simplest ways and precious times with friends and family.

He says happiness in Fiji is born from gratitude.

Bainimarama also says Fiji has seen the worst of climate change and is taking bold measures to protect itself and has urged countries to reduce the dangerous emissions that are warming the world, worsening storms, lengthening droughts, changing weather patterns and causing the seas to rise.

Bainimarama says in Fiji we are turning the front line of the climate crisis into the cutting edge of sustainable innovation, investment and trade.

He adds we are transforming our vulnerability into motivation to make bigger investments, make bigger leaps in technology, and seize bigger gains in the well being of our citizens.
