Fiji Women’s hockey making waves after two commanding victories against Samoa and Tonga

The Fiji Women’s Hockey side is making waves in the 2024 Pacific Cup Hockey Competition after securing two comfortable wins in the first two rounds of the competition that is currently underway at the Suva Hockey Centre in Laucala Bay.

Fiji thumped Samoa 9-1 in round 1 before thrashing Tonga 12-0 in round 2.

The Fiji Warriors’ Women’s side lost their first match 9-0 to NZ Pasifika.

In the Men’s division, the Fiji Men defeated Fiji Warriors 5-1 in round 1 before thrashing the Solomon Islands 6-0.

In other results so far, in the Women’s division, NZ Pasifika defeated Tonga 5-0.

In the Men’s division, NZ Fiji thrashed Tonga 13-0, the Solomon Islands edged Samoa 6-4, NZ Fiji thrashed Samoa 10-1 and the Solomon Islands beat Tonga 8-2.

In the games coming up today, in the Women’s division, the Fiji Warriors will play Samoa at 12.30pm, Fiji will play NZ Pasifika at 1.15pm and the Fiji Warriors will take on Vanuatu at 5.45pm.

In the Men’s division, Fiji will take on Samoa at 2.45pm, the Solomon Islands will take on Vanuatu at 3.30pm, NZ Fiji will play Fiji Warriors at 4.15pm and Fiji Warriors will take on Vanuatu at 6.30pm.
