The Fiji Under 15 Men’s basketball team needs to be more explosive against Samoa from the start to dominate the game and win all their games.

This was highlighted by team manager Benedito Qumi to fijivillage News this afternoon saying the men’s team is doing well in Canberra, winning their pool games, but they are slow from the start.

Qumi says the boys are fit and injury-free at the moment and their combinations are working well with a few key players always on the court calling the shots.

He says the U15 Women's side lost their game to a very strong Tongan team laced with players based in Australia and New Zealand and they are regrouping for their next game.

He says it was a very convincing win from the Tongans defeating Fiji 76-52 and they are working on their weakness moving into their next game.

The Womens' team will play for the 7th and 8th position tomorrow after losing a close match to New Caledonia 75-74, while the boys' team will face Samoa at 8.30 tonight.
