The Fiji Men’s hockey side showed determination and fighting spirits in their 3rd and 4th games against Malaysia and New Zealand despite losing 8-3 and 6-5 respectively during their Hockey5s World Cup campaign in Oman last night.

Though the team has not recorded a win yet, they have shown improvements especially when they are playing against these top teams.

Team captain Leevan Dutta says he is proud of how the boys played and they did really well.

Dutta says there are a lot of areas that they need to work on as they look forward to their next game, but they are taking one game at a time.

Dutta has also acknowledged their families and fans for their support and has reaffirmed that the team will keep on pushing to make the nation proud.

Fiji will play for their official placings tomorrow.
