With two weeks to go for the HSBC Vancouver 7s, the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side is working on player mental toughness as the tournament heads into the 4th leg of the Series.

Coach Osea Kolinisau says they are working on executing against teams that are mentally tough so that players do not think that the game is in the bag and they just play too casually.

While speaking on their quarter final match against South Africa during the Perth 7s, Kolinisau says they cannot afford to play against them with six men.

He says they had a lot of opportunities but could not capitalise on it which cost them the game.

He adds pressure was also a factor during their match.

Fiji is in pool C with Uruguay, Spain and the USA in the Vancouver 7s.

Fiji’s first pool match is against Uruguay at 7.18am on the 22nd of this month, they will then take on the USA at 12.45pm the same day and then play Spain in their last pool match at 6.52am on the 23rd.
