Fiji Football Association has donated $32,819 to WOWS Kids Fiji as part of their aid in the fight against childhood cancer in Fiji.

In a statement, Fiji FA says the funds were raised during the Fiji FACT and Battle of the Giants tournament, where $1 from every ticket sale was collected for WOWS Kids.

President Rajesh Patel and Minister for Lands and Mineral Resource, Filimoni Vosarogo presented the donation during the opening ceremony of the FMF Inter District Championship at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

Patel says they are happy to be in this fight with WOWS Kids and they will continue to be in it together as part of their social and corporate responsibility.

He says last year they donated $37,532.

WOWS Kids Vice Chair, Vilash Chand says the donations have helped save many children’s lives and the contribution will help alleviate the financial burden on families struggling to afford cancer treatments for their children.
