Excitement filled the air as the Fiji Men’s Deaf Rugby 7s team defied all odds to defeat Australia 40–10 and secure the 2025 Pacific Rim Deaf Rugby 7s Championship title.
The men’s team delivered a stellar performance throughout the tournament, maintaining their unbeaten streak with dominant 36–0 victories over Samoa, a narrow 12–10 win over Australia, and a 29–10 victory over Japan.

Meanwhile, the Fijian Women’s Deaf Rugby 7s team lost to the Barbarians 24–12 on the first day however, the team bounced back, edging the same opponents 10–5.
Team management says that the women went on to thrash Australia 26–0 in the final to claim their division title.
