Fiji Day is a time to reflect, unite, and progress – Radrodro

Today marks a proud moment for all Fijians as we honour the contributions of our multiracial and multicultural community while celebrating 55 years of independence for our beloved nation.

Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro says this year’s Fiji Day theme, 'Peace, Unity and Progress for All,' empowers and encourages everyone to respect one another and work together in unity for the progress of our country.

He is urging students, the future leaders of the country, to take this day as a moment to reflect on their hopes and aspirations, and to see education as the key to turning their dreams into reality.

Radrodro also acknowledged the role of teachers in shaping the nation, describing them as pillars of nation-building, who inspire young minds and develop the skills that will guide Fiji into the future.

He says their dedication, service, and sacrifice are acts of true patriotism, and every lesson they deliver and every extra effort they make shapes the future of our nation.

The Minister is also urging parents to actively support their children’s learning journey by working closely with teachers and schools.

He emphasizes that parental support, involvement, and motivation are crucial to a child’s success.

Radrodro is encouraging all Fijians to celebrate Fiji Day with pride, under the noble banner blue, and to move forward together in unity towards a brighter and more prosperous future.
