Fiji Bula Boys settle for 1-1 draw against Vanuatu in MSG Prime Minister’s Cup opener

The Fiji Bula Boys were held to a 1-1 draw by Vanuatu in their opening match of the MSG Prime Minister’s Cup in Solomon Islands.

Dave Radrigai missed a crucial penalty in the first half but Sairusi Nalaubu finally broke the deadlock in the 60th minute, giving Fiji the advantage.

However, substitute and former Suva rep Alex Senial equalised for Vanuatu in the dying moments of the match, denying Fiji a winning start.

Fiji will take on PNG on Sunday at 3pm, the Solomon Islands Development Team on Wednesday at 3pm, and the Solomon Islands Development Team again next Saturday at 5pm.
