The Fiji Bitter 7s Series tournament coordinators need to ensure that the bar and standards are raised and that the Series continues to be a legacy that others will follow.

This was highlighted by the Chairman of the Fiji Bitter 7s Series Organising Committee Lawrence Tikaram during the launch of the 2024/2025 Fiji Bitter Series which kicks off with the Kadavu 7s this week.

Tikaram says as an organiser himself, he knows what the other organisers go through, as it takes the hard yards, days, nights, and weeks to bring events such as this together.

He says in the past, they have had many interested calls from overseas international teams to come and participate in local tournaments and that's the level they need to be in.

He adds they need to bear in mind the players’ welfare, safety and security which is the pivotal role of what organisers do for all tournaments.

The Fiji Bitter Kadavu 7s will be held from this Thursday to Saturday at the Namalata School Ground in Vunisea, Kadavu.
