Fiji Airways will sponsor Melbourne Storm, Kaiviti Silktails, Los Angeles Galaxy, Fiji Rugby Union and the Fijian Drua next year.

While making the announcement today, Chief Executive Officer, Andre Viljoen also says through the partnership with the Melbourne Storm, they have secured the first NRL match which Fiji will host next year.

Viljoen says Fiji Airways is the official partner for the NRL Vegas Round next year in February 2024, where four NRL teams will be competing in a doubleheader at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

He says Kaiviti Silktails is also part of their vuvale and will be known as the Fiji Airways Kaiviti Silktails.

He says the National Airline has played a major role in the development and growth of rugby in Fiji across both the men’s and women’s 7s and 15s games.

He also says they will not only sponsor the Fijian Drua but will also be their official airline.

Viljoen further says to capitalise on these sponsorships they will introduce packages and promotions with exclusive airfares, holiday packages and fan experiences.

He adds for 2024 plans, they are to revive many of the company’s community outreach programmes such as rugby, netball and other sports clinics.
