Fiji Airways is now recruiting for newly created role of medically-qualified customer wellness champions.

The company says it is looking to recruit up to 30 customer wellness champions.

Fiji’s National Carrier says it is now preparing for the eventual resumption of international flights under strict health and medical safety requirements as part of the Travel Ready Program.

Fiji Airways says the customer wellness champions will lead their medical safety response on the ground and in the air.

It says the new role, a first of its kind for Fiji and the Pacific region will lead and drive medical safety for Fiji Airways customers and staff.

Fiji Airways adds starting from the airport check-in and through to the conclusion of an international flight, the customer wellness champions will be responsible for ensuring adherence to all health requirements during service interactions.

The company says qualification in medical or pre-hospital care will be essential for the role.
