Fiji Airports says a number of striking air traffic controllers have returned to work

Fiji Airports says a number of striking air traffic controllers have returned to work

Fiji Airports will confirm later this morning if all striking air traffic controllers have now returned to work.

The company said last night that a number of workers had returned to work after the Arbitration Court convened twice on Tuesday and made orders for the controllers who remained on strike to forthwith return to work.

The Arbitration Court further ordered Fiji Public Service Association to either start or continue negotiations with Fiji Airports on any log of claims.

Fiji Airports says in compliance with both the orders of the Minister and the Arbitration Court, their controllers must lawfully return to work.

The company management is talking to all their controllers under their open door policy.

It says a number of controllers have returned to work and they have been welcomed back with open arms.
