The Fiji Men’s 7s side has defended their McDonald’s Fiji Coral Coast 7s title after defeating the McDonald’s Mike Friday Select 7s 29-14 in the Cup Final this afternoon.

Poor discipline proved too costly for the Mike Friday Selects 7s as they were shown 4 yellow cards in the game which the Fiji 7s took advantage of.

Fiji 7s took a comfortable 22-0 lead at the break, through four tries and one conversion, but they only managed to score one converted try in the second half with the Mike Friday Selects scoring 2 converted tries.

Meanwhile, Mt Masada is the new champion of the McDonald’s Fiji Coral Coast 7s Women’s competition after ending the NZ Development side’s unbeaten run in the competition with a 24-7 win in the Final this afternoon.

In the Youth Cup Final, Southland Broncos have been crowned the new champion after dethroning defending champion Dominion Brothers 19-0 this afternoon.
