The Fiji 1 side has booked a place in the 47th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s cup semi final after a dominant performance, beating Lavidi Brothers 21-7 in the first cup quarter-finals.

Filipo Bukayaro, Joseva Talacolo and Vuiviwa Naduvalo all scored tries for Fiji in the first spell with Napolioni Bolaca converting all the tries to give them a 21-0 lead at half time.

Fiji 1 was reduced to 6 men earlier in the second spell after Inia Tawalo was yellow carded for deliberately knock on.

Lavidi improved their defense in the second spell to keep the Fiji 1 team at bay and prevented them from scoring any points in the second half.

Lavidi scored the final try of the game.

The semifinals will begin at 4.55pm this afternoon and the final will be held at 7.30 tonight.
