SODELPA proposed candidate Faith Grace and SODELPA Leader, Viliame Gavoka

A few proposed female SODELPA candidates walked out from their Special General Meeting yesterday after a motion to confirm Aseri Radrodro as an Acting Deputy Leader for their party.

SODELPA proposed candidate Faith Grace says they were told that they will be endorsing their 54 candidates for the upcoming election but were surprised that a motion was moved to confirm the Deputy Party Leader.

Grace says they would like women to be given the chance to hold an executive position.

fijivillage later questioned SODELPA Leader, Viliame Gavoka if he was aware of his proposed party candidates walking out from their meeting.

Gavoka says they will follow their process to confirm the position.
