Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama says he is feeling blessed not only to arrive home safely from the COP26 in Glasgow but to see that we have fully vaccinated 90 percent of adults – one of the highest rates of vaccine coverage in the world.

Bainimarama has posted on his facebook page that the curfew hours are now 12am to 4am and we remain on track to welcome back tourists from 1st December.

He says he is also grateful to all of the Fijian and other Pacific negotiators for a heroic effort at COP26.

Bainimarama says even though we were badly outnumbered by fossil fuel representatives, we helped to secure a path away from coal and fossil fuel subsidies and a number of other key outcomes including on oceans, adaptation finance and loss and damage, in the final deal.

He has posted - great work, Fiji and this is what progress looks like.
