Famous TikToker, Anis Khatoon Gwaizda who is also known as Nazmeen has been released on bail by the Nadi Magistrates Court.

She was remanded in custody for allegedly breaching her bail condition by using her social media account.

The 61-year-old woman was earlier charged with two counts of causing harm by posting electronic communication under the Online Safety Act and a count of breaching bail conditions.

The court has also ordered her and her lawyer, Faizal Koya to produce a surety and security following her application for a change in bail variation as she intends to return to Australia.

Police say Gwaizda was allegedly misusing or was being irresponsible by creating hatred, using vulgar and degrading language and was bullying others on the virtual platform.

Her bail conditions included deactivating all her social media accounts for the next 14 days, $500 cash bond and a surety.

Gwaizda’s bail condition also includes not leaving the country.

Police say the woman recently came to Fiji from Australia.

The case has been adjourned to the 8th of March.
