A family of 14 is pleading for public assistance after their home was destroyed in a fire at Navai Village in Nadarivatu.

Lepani Mudunaivalu told fijivillage News that the fire broke out last night while the family was still asleep, but they are thankful that no one was injured.

He says by the time they woke up, the flames had already spread and didn’t have time to save anything.

Mudunaivalu believes it is only through God’s grace that the entire family survived, considering how quickly the fire engulfed their home.

The family lost everything in the blaze, including clothes, household items and school supplies for the children.

Mudunaivalu says they are now staying with relatives, but space is limited, and they are struggling to meet their basic needs.

He is appealing to fellow Fijians for financial assistance or any form of support that could help them rebuild their lives.

The cause of the fire is yet to be confirmed as authorities continue their investigations.

If you wish to assist the family, you can contact Lepani Mudunaivalu via M-PAiSA number: 2065080.
