A family from Tuvalu and a family from Vanuatu are full of joy after their sons, 1-year-old Elijah Stanley and 4-year-old Junior Tari received a new life after undergoing successful surgery at the Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Heart Hospital.

As the celebration started, the two families were emotional after reminiscing about the challenges they faced in the previous months after noticing the health issues faced by their loved ones.

Matie Stanley the mother of Elijah told fijivillage News that if there had been no operation done, her son might have still being sick and lying on his sick bed in Tuvalu.

She says her family was making plans to arrange for her son to get an operation in New Zealand, but they are lucky to have had a free-of-charge operation at the Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Heart Hospital in Nasese.

Vanessa Tari of Abai village in Vanuatu who is the mother of Junior Tari says she always had that hope that one day Junior will live a happy and healthier life again.

The two families will be returning to their homes after their review at the hospital.
