Faiyaz Koya acts as Minister for Economy, Attorney General, Civil Service and Communications until March 21st 2021

Minister for Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport, Faiyaz Koya is currently acting as the Minister for Economy, Attorney General, Civil Service and Communications.

Koya is holding the acting portfolios while Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum recovers after two medical procedures in Singapore.

Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama appointed Koya to act in the positions until March 21st 2021.

The appointment was gazetted on Saturday March 6th 2021.

Speaking from Singapore in the virtual budget consultation session on February 28th 2021, Sayed-Khaiyum said there has been a lot of talk that he will not stay in quarantine when he returns to Fiji.

He says every single person who comes to Fiji has to stay in quarantine and he will do the same.
