The Fiji Rugby Union will name its best 50 member Flying Fijians training squad today despite New Zealand being adamant that they will not allow players who have links to the Military.
FRU CEO, Keni Dakuidreketi said they are yet to receive a formal word from the IRB in relation to the players who will not be allowed in New Zealand.
Dakuidreketi added that people must remember that they are not naming the team to the Rugby World Cup as yet.
Players like Nikola Matawalu, Dale Tonawai and Leone Nakarawa played outstandingly well at yesterday's trials and according to Dakuidreketi, it is still too early to pre-empt if these players will be in the Flying Fijians team to the Rugby World Cup.
Meanwhile, overseas based players who did not attend the trials will be in the country before the 17th of this month for the Pacific Nations Cup.
The 50 member Flying Fijians training squad will be announced this afternoon after the Digicel cup game between Naitasiri and Suva.
