Fiji Rugby Union CEO John O’Connor has confirmed that they will be having face to face discussions with Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber regarding a possible contract extension when Baber returns to Fiji.

They have offered Baber a three a 3-year contract extension.

O’Connor says Baber will be in Fiji once the travel restrictions are lifted next month.

Baber helped steer the Fiji 7s team to successfully defend their Olympic title in Tokyo in July.

Meanwhile the Fiji Rugby Union is also hoping to have the last leg of the Super 7s Series before the end of the year.

O’Connor says more detail such as the venue and the date for the tournament will be released when everything is finalized.
