1,000 families in Labasa received food rations as an immediate food security response to floods caused by Tropical Cyclone Ana.

FRIEND Fiji partnered with TISI Sangam to deliver food to the most impacted areas declared by NDMO as the red zone.

They also provided a variety of vegetable seeds to help re-establish their backyard gardens.

FRIEND Fiji says they thank the New Zealand government for their immediate assistance to enable the response.

They say the NDMO Northern office provided initial assessment data to FRIEND Fiji to respond urgently for food security.
