Injuries are an inevitable part of football and the Fiji Bula Boys are adjusting to the absence of star forward Roy Krishna ahead of their crucial FIFA World Cup 2026 Oceania Qualifiers semi final against host, New Zealand.

Head coach Rob Sherman says that while Krishna’s absence is a setback, the team remains focused on executing their game plan.

When asked about the team’s morale, Sherman praised the players' positive attitude and determination as the boys have always shown great spirit.

He says the players are looking forward to the semi final match.

Krishna, who is recovering from surgery, recently took to Facebook to express his gratitude to Odisha Football Club for their support during his recovery.

Fiji will face the New Zealand All Whites in the second semi final, which is set to take place in Wellington, New Zealand on the 21st of March.

In the first semi final, Tahiti will go up against New Caledonia.
