Acting Supervisor of Elections Ana Mataiciwa

Two complaints have been received by the Fijian Elections Office regarding the non-declaration of assets by the FijiFirst Party and in-line with their internal process, they have written to FijiFirst to respond.

While speaking in a press conference, Acting Supervisor of Elections Ana Mataiciwa says that the response of the FijiFirst Party will determine their next course of action.

She emphasised that the FEO is under new leadership and they are approachable now.

Mataiciwa says the FijiFirst Party has opted to raise its concerns and attacks against the FEO through the media and things would have been easily clarified through dialogue or direct communication with their office.

She would also like to put on record that she has been appointed by the President on the advice of the Constitutional Offices Commission to carry out her duties in line with the Constitution and the laws of Fiji, and her actions have and will always be reflective of this.
