300 lucky people will get the chance to win $100 each if they upgrade their voter cards, update their details or register for the elections during the Fijian Elections Office’s nationwide registration and awareness drive which starts today.

The draw will be done on 20th April and people can only enter the draw once even if they upgrade their cards multiple times.

Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem says their staff will be in towns and cities during the drive where people will get the opportunity for every eligible voter to register and access voter services.

Saneem says they are looking forward to a maximum turnout at all their venues because they want to cross the 75% mark for people who have upgraded their voter cards.

He says people can upgrade their cards without presenting their birth certificate however it is still more convenient if people bring their birth certificate.

The nationwide registration and awareness campaign will end on April 2nd.
