FEO begins consultation with Political Parties in relation to Voter Instruction Booklet

The Fijian Elections Office has commenced consultations with political parties currently registered in Fiji in terms of obtaining their views on whether the political parties wish that their party name or the party symbol be placed on the Voter Instruction Booklet that will be handed out to every voter as they come to vote in the 2022 General Election.

The Elections Office says the law now requires that the Supervisor of Elections may place either the party symbol or the party name or any other information as approved by the Supervisor of Elections in the Voter Instruction Booklet.

They say to this end, political parties have been given until 15 April 2022 to provide their responses to the Supervisor of Elections so as to allow the FEO to prepare the format for printing of the Voter Instruction Booklet for the 2022 General Election.
