FEO accredits first member of the Multinational Observer Group

The Supervisor of Elections has today accredited the first member of the Multinational Observer Group who is now in the country as a long-term observer of the general election.

Following the accreditation, the Supervisor of Elections welcomed the member of the MOG and noted that more members of the group will be arriving in the country in due course and particularly once the general election is announced.

The Fijian Elections Office says it is understood that the coordinator of the MOG will be arriving in country shortly.

The MOG is co-chaired by India, Indonesia and Australia and the Terms of Reference was signed between the co-chairs and the Minister Responsible for Elections, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum last week.
