FC U16 Men's Championship: Fiji falls short in final after 3-1 loss

The Digicel Fiji Baby Bula Boys fell short in the OFC U16 Men's Championship final after losing 3-1 to New Zealand this afternoon.

Fiji showed determination and courage in the first half holding NZ to a 1-all draw at halftime.

NZ pulled away in the second half as they capitalised on Fiji’s mistakes to score two more goals for the win.

Both teams have qualified for the FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar next year alongside New Caledonia who defeated hosts Tahiti 5-4 in penalty shootout.
