People are in for exciting fast-paced football action as the Extra Fiji Secondary Schools National Futsal Championship 2025 begins tomorrow at the Fiji FA Futsal Court in Vatuwaqa.

Fiji Football Association says the tournament will bring together top-performing secondary school teams from across the nation, who have earned their place by winning their respective zone competitions.

The Association says it will be a national celebration of skill, speed, and school pride, as boys and girls will be competing in both the U16 and U18 grades.

Fiji FA Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Yusuf says Futsal is a growing part of the football landscape, and this championship allows young players to showcase their talent in a competitive and professional environment.

Tournament coordinator Jainud Dean commended the dedication shown by all participating schools, coaches, and students, emphasising the event’s wider significance.

He says Futsal encourages quick thinking and sharp decision-making skills, which are vital for all-round football development.

Over ten schools are expected to compete across the four divisions in the tournament which finishes on Sunday.
