Euro 2020 postponed until next year

The Euro 2020 has been postponed until 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

UEFA, the European football governing body made the decision during an emergency video conference involving major stakeholders yesterday.

The tournament which was scheduled to take place from 12th June - 12th July , will now run from 11th June to 11th July next year.

The postponement provides a chance for European leagues that have been suspended to now be completed.
