Ellington Jetty in Rakiraki will be temporarily closed for emergency maintenance repairs, which began on Monday and will continue until the the 6th of April.

Fiji Roads Authority says this closure is essential to carry out critical works on the jetty head, a vital component for safe and efficient operations at the facility.

They acknowledge that the closure may cause inconvenience to travelers and local shipping activities and appreciate everyone's understanding as they undertake these necessary repairs to ensure the long-term safety and reliability of the jetty.

FRA adds to ensure safety during this period, advisory signs will be installed around the jetty area, and they are urging all members of the public to adhere to these signs and follow any instructions provided.
