The Electoral Commission will work closely with the Ministry of Local Government and Housing in assisting the upcoming Municipal Council election.
The Chair of Electoral Commission Barbara Malimali highlighted this during a meeting with the Minister for Local Government and Housing, Maciu Nalumisa.
Malimali says they will also have a part to play in the upcoming Municipal Council election.
She says they will conduct more consultation with the Ministry with regards to their plans and timeline prepared for other upcoming Municipal Council elections.
She adds that they will ensure that the election is conducted accordingly.
Members of the Electoral Commission met with the Minister to discuss the progress of the Municipal Council election preparation.
