The Electoral Commission will have three days to determine the final outcomes from the candidate objections and appeals.

While giving an elections update, Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem says the appeals and objections period will finish at 4pm tomorrow.

As the nomination period ended at midday today, Saneem says by this evening he would like to tell people about the exact number of candidates.

So far, 272 candidates have been approved.

348 nominations have been filed.

Saneem further says some people have made comments about their media update at 10pm last night.
