Energy Fiji Limited contractors will be transporting two 15 MVA power transformers from Kings Wharf to the Kinoya project site from 9 pm to midnight tonight and tomorrow, as part of the Kinoya Power Station and Substation Project.

The movement is expected to take approximately three hours, with one transformer being transported each night.

EFL advises that the proposed dates and times may vary by 30 to 60 minutes, either at the start or end of the operation, depending on logistics and prevailing weather conditions.

They say the transportation route will include Kings Wharf via Edinburgh Drive, Princess Road, Khalsa Road, Kings Road, Yasiyasi Road, and Ratu Dovi Road, to the Kinoya Power Station.

EFL urges drivers and pedestrians to exercise caution along the designated routes and to follow traffic advisories during the movement.
