Dubai 7s: Fiji thrash Spain 31-7 in the 9th place play-off

The Fiji Airways men’s national 7s team thrashed Spain 31-7 in the 9th place playoff.

Spain had earlier beaten Fiji 33-19 in pool play.

The team scored five tries to end their campaign of the second Dubai sevens on the World Rugby HSBC Sevens Series.

Try scorers for Fiji included Captain Josua Vakurunabili, Kaminieli Rasaku, Iowane Ratuciri, Iowane Teba and Tevita Daugunu.

Meanwhile , The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team earlier secured their spot in the cup final after beating France 17-12 in their final pool game and will take on Australia at 2:56am tomorrow.
