Drug Rehabilitation Centre to be established within Corrections Service

In a move to rehabilitate convicted drugs offender, a Drug Rehabilitation Centre will be established within the Fiji Corrections Service.

This comes as Cabinet approved this following its meeting yesterday.

The Cabinet in a statement says the centre within the Corrections Service will ensure that targeted interventions are provided for convicted drug offenders with opportunities to reform and reintegrate successfully back into society.

They say drug rehabilitation programmes in the centre will comply with standards set by the Ministry of Health and Medical Services.
