Drua re-signs four more players for 2024

The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua has re-signed an additional four players beyond the current Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season.

After re-signing five players on Wednesday, the Fijian Drua has signed on Flying Fijians’ locks Isoa Nasilasila and Leone Rotuisolia, along with flankers Vilive Miramira and Elia Canakaivata.

Fijian Drua CEO Mark Evans says these are crucial signings for the club and it is a positive sign for the future having these players commit to the Drua for 2024.

He says the club's objective has always been to keep our top players, and the fact that most of the core squad are staying on for next season shows that the club is achieving that goal.

Evans says playing professional rugby in front of their loved ones, friends and at home is an unparalleled experience, and it holds a significant emotional value for many of the players.

With just a week away from the Drua's first home game in Lautoka and with five more games to follow in Fiji, Evans says the players are working hard to secure their place in the match day 23.

The Fijian Drua will play the Waratahs at 8.35 tonight and will host the Crusaders at Churchill Park in Lautoka next Saturday.

The tickets for the Drua vs Crusaders match can be purchased online from the Drua website or at the Lautoka City Council Office and Jack's of Fiji outlets.

Meanwhile in last night’s Super Round matches, the Crusaders thrashed the Highlanders 52-15 while the Hurricanes overcame the Rebels 39-33. In other matches, Moana Pasifika will play the Chiefs at 6.05pm tonight, the Blues will take on the Brumbies at 3pm tomorrow while the Reds will play Western Force at 5.30pm tomorrow.
