The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua’s hopes of making the quarter finals of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition currently hang on a thread and they will need to win their remaining three matches to maintain their spot in the top 8.

Despite their 48-10 loss to the Western Force in Perth last weekend, the side still sits in 8th place with 17 points ahead of the Force who sits in 9th place with 15 points.

With only 3 games remaining, the race for the 8th position is still wide open for the Drua and the Force along with Moana Pasifika and defending champion Crusaders who are both locked at 14 points. The Drua will host the Reds this weekend in round 13 of the competition in the hopes of repeating their 41-17 win last year at the same venue.

They will need to cut down on giving away silly penalties that proved too costly for them against the Force last week and also tighten up on their defence which the Force was cutting through with ease if they need to produce a positive result this week.

As it stands in the points table, a win for the Drua this Saturday will help them maintain their spot in 8th place, while a loss could see them fall out of the top 8 barring upsets from other games.

The Drua will take on the Reds at 2.05pm in Suva.

They will play the Highlanders in Dunedin next Sunday, and play their last match against the Rebels on the 1st of June in Lautoka.

Meanwhile, in other games this week, the Hurricanes will take on Moana Pasifika at 7.05pm Friday, the Rebels will host the Chiefs at 9.35pm Friday, the Brumbies will play the Crusaders at 4.35pm Saturday, the Blues will battle the Highlanders at 7.05pm Saturday and the Force will host the Waratahs at 9.35pm Saturday.
