Drua development players Basiyalo and Nawai fighting for HK 7s spots

Drua development players Basiyalo and Nawai fighting for HK 7s spots

Two members of the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua Development Team are currently training with the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s squad.

Head Coach Osea Kolinisau says fullback Isikeli Basiyalo and flyhalf Aisea Nawai are with the team.

Kolinisau says he has reassured Drua coach Glen Jackson the duo are not guaranteed a spot, but if they are good enough he will not hesitate in selecting them.

Also training with the squad is Nakorovou Serua man Apete Narogo who impressed selectors at the recent Nahehevia 7s.

With three weeks to go for the HSBC Hong Kong 7s, Kolinisau says this gives them time to look at the new boys, where they can fit in and how they can do better.

Fiji is in Pool A with Argentina, Ireland, and the USA.

The Hong Kong 7s will take place from the 28th to the 30th of this month.
