Drivers raise concerns on contractors digging and marking potholes, and leaving it to be sealed later

Concerns continue to be raised by drivers on the work of some Fiji Roads Authority contractors where they are digging up and marking potholes, making it deeper and then leaving them in parts of the Suva and Nausori area.

Some drivers say they have seen some contractors doing this on the road and it has caused damage to their tyres and other parts of their vehicle.

They say this is a costly exercise and they do not understand why the potholes are dug and marked, to be sealed days or weeks later.

The people are questioning where is the accountability for the contractors.

We sent questions to FRA on Friday and another email this morning.

They have yet to respond.
