A family from Vunicagi in Dreketi is calling for answers after a group of people shot dead their dog on Sunday afternoon.

The owner, Riyasat Khan says he has filed a Police complaint and he also alleges that a Police officer was also in the vehicle that came past and shot their dog. Khan says the same vehicle came a few minutes later and took the dead dog.

He says he had first heard gunshots about half a kilometre away at a nearby mosque.

Khan says soon after, the vehicle came by and shot the dog.

Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says the report is under investigation. She says the investigation will also determine if a Police officer was allegedly involved.
